Last Game

The team gathering before the game. Spencer up to bat. Jeremy up to bat. Spencer after his last run into home plate. Spencer and his cousin Jeremy were on the same team this year. This was very fun for them. They had a lot of fun together and they made some new friends. I got them posing together after the game. Spencer is pretending he's getting ready to throw the ball, and Jeremy is obviously pretending to bat. They are such cute little HAMS!!

So Sleepy

This was the day of Spencer's last T-ball game. I had just gotten the boys dressed and ready, and I was gathering up everything to go get in the car, and when I came to get Kyle he had fallen asleep on the floor while wearing his sunglasses. He was even snoring. I had no choice but to pick him up and load him in the car. I felt so guilty. Lucky for us he ended up staying asleep in the stroller while we were at the game. It seems as though this poor child hasn't had a regulated nap schedule since the day he was born. I'm always running errands at the wrong time, or taking Spencer somewhere or picking Spencer up. Hopefully I'll be able to get Kyle on a better routine this summer. With Spencer being out of school for 3 months it could very well happen for me. Wouldn't that be nice for him especially since he'll probably be getting close to growing out of naps by then. That's about when Spencer did anyway. Something I'm not totally looking forward to.
(Spencer is pretending to sleep in the last picture).

Bruised

The other day Spencer and Kyle were playing on my bed. They were being silly and having so much fun until Kyle flew off the bed into my dresser. He cried for a minute or so, put a "boo boo buddy" (ice pack) on his head before it swelled up any more than it already had, and was ready to play some more (he's a pretty tough kid). I took these pictures the next day. His bruise is pretty big but I'm glad it's not too dark. Do I think this will teach him to stop rough housing on my bed? Probably not.

Kinder Shirts

On Tuesday I went to Spencer's class to help the kids decorate their "Kindergarten play day shirts". Kyle came with me. I know I know, crazy me but he was actually really well behaved. Each child got a choice of a "Garden" or an "Ocean" themed shirt. Spencer chose the Ocean theme. His teacher was already helping him when I arrived so I snapped a cute picture of them together. (We just love her). Kyle also got to make a shirt and he chose the Ocean theme too. All the kids had so much fun making these and the shirts turned out great! They get to where them this Tuesday for "Kindergarten Play Day". Spencer is so excited.

Ryan and Kristina visit

Ryan, Kristina, and their boys came down for a visit last weekend with Brent and Colleen. Ryan and Kristina live in Texas so this was very exciting for us since we rarely see them. They flew into Eugene to stay with Tyler's parents and drove down to spend the day with us on Saturday. It was so much fun to see their little guys (it was actually the first time meeting Landon). Spencer and Kyle had a lot of fun with them. Cousins are so awesome! We showed them the mattress store, did some shopping down town, and had a BBQ at our house. We also got to give our nephews their birthday gifts a little early. I was sad to see them go and we miss them already. "Kristina, I so wish we got to hang out more! I'm sure we'll talk soon. It was GREAT to see you guys"!

Shakers

Spencer woke up one morning and said, "Let's make shakers"! I'm not a very crafty or creative person but I do love doing creative stuff with my boys...especially if it's easy. Spencer thought using paper bowls would be a good idea, but we didn't have any. We looked through our party supplies and decided on using left over cups from past birthday parties. We filled them with uncooked rice (noodles would have worked better but we didn't have any), covered them with parchment paper and a rubber band and the boys shook 'em like crazy. It's been over a week now and they're still playing with them. Simple but fun...that's my kind of craft.

Memorial Parade

This was Spencer's 2nd year in the Memorial Day Parade. He really enjoys showing off what he learns each week in Kung Fu. He also thought it was pretty cool that his cousins, aunts, uncles, and Baaba were there to cheer him on. Tyler, Kyle and I walked along the side of the parade so we could watch him and take pictures. He' s such a cutie!

FIRST BBQ

Spencer showing off his smore.

Ean getting ready to roast his marshmallows.

Kyle roasting his own marshmallow...what a big boy!

Spencer and Jeremy showing off their muscles while Landon makes his way into the picture.

Zackary also wanted to show off his muscles with Spencer too.

This was our first BBQ we had since we finished the yard. The Huffs came over to eat with us. The boys all had so much fun.

New Jammies

Spencer grew out of all but one pair of his summer p.j.'s since last year so I went out and bought him a couple new pairs for this summer. These are his new transformer p.j.'s. He loves them.

Vaccuuming

Kyle just loves to vacuum. Every time he sees me going to get the vacuum out he starts yelling, "I want to vacuum I want to vacuum" in his little stressed out squeaky voice. He's such a cute little helper when he wants to be. I wonder how long it will actually last.

Pizza and Prize Party

Spencer starting out the night with his favorite...CHEESE PIZZA!

Spencer and Zackary getting ready to start their first scooter relay race.

Spencer and Ean posed for a quick picture between activities.

Getting tattooed. (I think Spence ended up with 4 or 5 tattoos by the end of the night).

Ean and Spencer waiting to go through the obstacle course bounce house.

Spencer was so excited about earning the chance to go to the pizza and prize party at his school. This was for all the kids who raised over $100 in jog-a-thon pledge money. He and all his cousins were able to be there. The night started out with pizza and then games. All the kids had a chance through out the night to pick a prize of their choice from the library. There was scooter racing, tattoos, rock climbing, bounce houses and each child (if they chose to) got their picture taken in the Principal's chair. (Spencer thought that was pretty cool. He loves Principal Ely). The night ended with popsicles. Spencer had a blast!!
