Ducks

Spencer, Kyle and I were on our way out the door and we saw these ducks walking in the middle of our street. They both thought it was pretty cool and they tried to pet them. As the boys got closer to the ducks they started to run from them and eventually flew away. Kyle was a little disappointed and wanted to follow them but I wasn't about to spend the rest of the afternoon looking for a couple ducks. Maybe another time.

Our Back Yard

Our back yard is DONE!! We've never had a yard of our own before and we are loving it! There are still a couple of minor things we'd like to do (like finish the garden) but all the important stuff is complete. It's going to be a great summer!

Mother's Day

Mommy and her little rascals. Aren't they handsome?
(Kyle wasn't in the mood to smile apparently)

Laying Bark

This was the night we layed the bark down for the boys' play area. They were so excited and loved playing in the pile of bark as it was going in. It took Tyler and I a couple hours to get it in and layed out, and it was well worth it. We had a lot of fun doing it and we're all excited with the out come. So far it's been a great place for the boys to play!

Dancing

Kyle and Landon dancing at a wedding reception with grandma. They love her!

All the boys were lovin the music at this reception. They had a lot of fun dancing. Especially Spencer and Jeremy at this particular moment. I think Spencer might be trying to figure out some break dance moves in the background. How cute is he?

Tired Boy

How funny is this? Two days in a row Kyle asked me for some toast, and he pooped out and fell asleep both times. The second day his bread didn't even make it to the toaster. Notice in the last 2 pictures he's actually using it for his pillow. Two days in a row...What are the odds?

Lil' Pozers

Kyle's showing us that his boo boo is almost better and Spencer, well....what a HAM! He loves getting his silly face in any picture.

Sleeping Cuties

Aren't they precious? I love capturing these moments.

Swing Set

We just recently set up our swing set. This was very exciting for the boys because it's a big addition to our play area. It took Tyler a couple nights after work to put it together and as you can see, the boys wasted no time in trying it out. VERY EXCITING!!

Kyle's Stitches

  • Above is a quick picture before the stitches. OUCH!

Below is the blanket he received from the nurses for being so brave.
Kyle just recently had to get stitches in his chin. Spencer was at school and Kyle and I had just gone on a walk. I was cleaning the kitchen and heard a loud thud. He had fallen on the tile (we think the grout line) and was laying on his tummy in hysterics. I though he had gotten the wind knocked out of him. I picked him up and saw a little blood in his mouth thinking he bit his tongue. I then noticed he had a pretty big slice in his chin. I knew we'd be getting stitches that day as I had done this once before with Spencer (who had stitches in his chin at 17 months old). Kyle's cut was much bigger. After calling the doctor, we left for the ER and he ended up with 5 stitches a few hours later. What a BRAVE BOY!

Jog-A-Thon

Spencer's school had their annual Jog-a-Thon a couple weeks ago. This was Spencer's first year being a part of the fundraiser since he's in Kindergarten. He and Kyle and I went around to our family and neighbors to collect pledges. He raised over $100 which made him eligible for the Pizza Prize Party! Spencer ended up running a total of 9 laps just with his class. We came to cheer on his cousins earlier that morning where he ran 6 and 10 laps with each of their classes. He started the morning off with lots of energy but was exhausted by the time his class had finished. I'm so proud of him. They were all rewarded with fudgesicles afterwards. Thank you to all of you who were able to support Spencer. He is very grateful.

Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting

Spencer just earned his green/white belt at the end of April. This is his 3rd belt since he started Kung Fu in September 2006. He's accomplished a lot in the last 18 months. Here he is practicing different blocks with his buddies.

Preparing the Backyard

These boys are so ready for a backyard to play in. This was right before getting ready to lay grass down. Such cute little helpers!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Well, it's that time of year again....Baseball season! This is Spencer's second year of T-ball and he's improved quite a bit since last year. His favorite position to play is pitcher. Even though they don't pitch in T-ball, this is where a lot of the action takes place. (He gets a little bored in the outfield). Spencer's cousin Jeremy is on his team this year and they've both really enjoyed that. They have some fun coaches and are making some new friends. I grew up in a baseball lovin' family so this is lots of fun for me too! Now, if I could just get Kyle to sit through a game. (or at least 5 minutes of one).

Easter

Both of the boys had a blast dying Easter eggs this year. Spencer's eggs were creative and colorful, while most of Kyle's were yellow with an occasional orange egg in the mix. We really enjoyed watching them in this process.

Spencer and Kyle were so excited to wake up Easter morning and find that the Easter Bunny had been there to hide the eggs they colored the night before. They searched high and low and discovered he had also filled their baskets with all kinds of goodies. Kyle's was hidden in the pantry cupboard, and Spencer found his in the dryer. He thought that was pretty clever. They had so much fun!

Basketball Star

This was Spencer's first year playing basketball. Even though it was quite humorous to watch a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds play (traveling, double dribbling, etc.), he learned a lot and really enjoyed it. He's already excited to play again next season.
