Three Years Ago....

Four years after Spencer was born, we welcomed another bundle of joy to our family. It was September 15th (which happens to also be my grandparents anniversary) and Kyle made his arrival at 1:24 p.m. that afternoon. The three of us were so excited to meet him, especially Spencer. Waiting 9 months for a brother is hard on a kid!! But he was absolutely worth it. We instantly fell in love.

Birthday Boy!!

This little guy is such a blessing to our family. I love that I get to see his adorable face everyday. He has an extremely vast amount of energy, and I only hope I can keep up with him throughout the years to come. We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

Three things I love about Kyle...

1. The sparkle in his crystal blue eyes

2. His cute, cute, cute little round face (with dimples I might add) and how it becomes even rounder when he smiles.

3. His spunky personality...this child is quite a character and has the ability to bring a smile to any one's face.

I am truly grateful to have Kyle as my little boy. He brings such a wonderful spirit into our home. We love having him around and watching him grow each day. He has such a zest for life at such a young age and has a wonderful big brother who he looks up to and adores.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Seven Years Ago....

World Trade Center

Twin Towers
9/11/01

What a tragic day for our country. We lost so many wonderful people that day, and every year on this exact day I am reminded of those who had to say goodbye to their loved ones. My heart goes out to them each and every year.

Tyler and I were lucky enough to welcome our first little miracle into our lives on that very day. Emotions ran wild between these two major events. While keeping up on the news throughout the morning and into the early afternoon, Spencer made his arrival at 2:01p.m. We were so happy!

Spencer's First Day of School

Our cute little first grader leaving the house for his first day of school

Berklee and Spencer arrived at the same time. They were so excited!

Zackary(3rd grade), Ean(2nd grade), Berklee(2nd grade) and Spencer(1st grade).
There are 4 other cousins attending this school as well. I'm glad that they'll all be there together.

Spencer's new teacher, Mrs. Crowson is giving him a name tag for the day.

Well, we made it through the first week of school! Spencer has a wonderful teacher and we're very excited for what the new school year will bring. Even after one week it's been quite an adjustment for him going from 2 and a half days to every day all day. He likes school and loves his teacher, but he's pretty pooped out by the time he gets home. Spencer is very much a home body (like me). I'm sure he'll need a little encouragement for a while but then he'll be used to it. He's already made some new friends and rekindled some friendships from last year. I was a little teary throughout the day after Tyler, Kyle and I dropped him off on that first day, so of course Kyle and I went back and had lunch with him. He was very excited to see us as we were to see him. I miss my little buddy during the day and so does his little brother. So far, Spencer's doing well...I think it's going to be a great year!!

Kyle's Swimming Lessons

Kyle and Mommy's first day of swimming lessons

One of Kyle's first swims to Myrna

Poor Kyle decides he doesn't like this anymore

First jump off the diving board. Spencer was behind Kyle cheering him on.

What a couple of cutie pies!!

Spencer, Kyle and I would arrive a little early to get some extra swimming time in

Both the boys showing of their back float

Kyle floated on his back much better while working with Myrna. She's not even holding onto him in this picture. This is during "Life Saving Day".

Kyle was very happy he got to wear a yellow life jacket

ALL SMILES! (Even when under the water) Myrna teaching Kyle a safe technique for jumping in the pool BIG JUMP!! What a sweet face

Graduation Day!

Kyle's Swimming Star

Myrna and Kyle

This was Kyle's first year taking swimming lessons. He absolutely loves the water and was very excited to take lessons. He had a lot of fun on the first day, the second day he wasn't too sure about having to go under the water whether he wanted to or not, and by day three he was NOT HAPPY! He kept telling me "I can't go to swimming lessons" and "I can't like Myrnee". But by the beginning of the second week he was all smiles. He ended up loving it and keeps asking me if we can go back. I had so much fun swimming with both the boys. We would stay after Kyle's lessons and swim together for a while. They love the water and I feel more secure knowing they've been taught how important safety is while they're swimming. See ya next year Myrna!!

Sunday Nap

This was a couple Sundays ago. Spencer and I were sitting at the piano and Kyle came up and started climbing on me. The three of us played around on the piano and sang songs together. After a couple minutes, I noticed Kyle layed his head down and had fallen asleep. I didn't wake him up until Tyler got back from "Home Teaching" because I wanted him to see Kyle. I already took a few pictures of him and by the time we woke him up he'd already been asleep for about an hour! How uncomfortable.
